Official Rules Orka Women kabaddi League
The Orka Women’s Kabaddi League (OWKL) marks a powerful new chapter in modern Kabaddi, celebrating strength, discipline, strategy, and women’s athletic excellence. Designed exclusively for women athletes, OWKL introduces a dynamic, fast-paced format that blends tradition with innovation—creating an international-standard league built for performance, excitement, and integrity.
This rulebook defines all official regulations to ensure fairness, transparency, and safety across the league’s 6 women’s teams. Every player, coach, and official is required to follow these rules to uphold the competitive spirit and professionalism of the Orka Women’s Kabaddi League.
1. Match Structure
1.1 Duration
- Each match has two halves of 20 minutes.
- 5-minute halftime break.
1.2 Team Composition
- 7 players on the court.
- 5 substitutes on the bench.
- Minimum 10 women players must be registered for a match.
1.3 Toss
- Coin toss decides which team raids first.
- Winning captain chooses raid or court side.
2. Scoring System
2.1 Raid Points
- Raid starts when the raider enters opponent’s half.
- 1 point per valid touch on a defender.
- Bonus point if:
- 6+ defenders on court, and
- Raider crosses the bonus line correctly.
2.2 Tackle Points
- Defenders get 1 point for stopping a raider.
- Multiple defenders stopping the raider = 1 team point.

3.1 Impact Raid (Special Feature)
Each team gets 1 Impact Raid per half.
During Impact Raid:
- All raid points = 2× (double)
- If raider is tackled → Defenders get +1 bonus tackle point
- Must declare before crossing midline.
Purpose:
High-pressure moments that shift match momentum.
3.2 Speed Raid Shot Clock
- Max 30 seconds per raid.
- Digital countdown in arena.
- Exceeding time = self-out.
3.3 Power Play Revival
Once per match:
3.4 Golden Clash – Tie Breaker
If match is tied:
- 3-minute extra round
- Equal raids for both teams
- If still tied → Sudden Death Raid
4. Player Eligibility
4.1 Age Requirement
- Minimum 18+ years by 31 March 2026
(DOB on or before 31 March 2008).
4.2 Physical Fitness
- Mandatory medical & fitness clearance.
4.3 Registration
- Government ID
- Player registration form
- Video trials (for new players)
- Signed team contract
5. Substitutions
5.1 Allowed
- Up to 5 substitutions per match.
- Substituted players may re-enter when revived.
5.2 Not Allowed
- No substitutions during an active raid.
- No substitutions during tie-breakers.
6. Fouls & Violations
6.1 Common Fouls
- Jersey pulling
- Holding raider after whistle
- Misbehavior with referees
- Offensive language
- Charging without intent to retreat
6.2 Penalties
- 1-point penalty to offending team
- 30-sec suspension for aggressive behavior
- Red card for dangerous acts (ban from match)
7. Match Officials
- 2 On-court referees
- 1 Match commissioner
- 2 Line umpires
- 1 Scoring panel
- 1 Timekeeper
Referees’ decisions are final.
8. Review System (OWKL Challenge)
8.1 Challenges
- 1 challenge per half per team
- Lost challenge = challenge removed
- Successful challenge = retained
8.2 Allowed Challenges
- Touch validity
- Boundary calls
- Bonus line disputes
- Timing issues
9. Code of Conduct
Players must:
- Maintain sportsmanship
- Respect referees, opponents & audience
- Follow league protocols
- Wear approved OWKL gear
Violations may lead to fines or suspension.
10. Anti-Doping Regulations
- Random testing anytime
- Zero tolerance for banned substances
- Violation = season-long ban
11. Safety Guidelines
- Use league-approved gear
- Immediate suspension if injured
- Medical team available courtside
- Mandatory concussion protocol

Used for trial ranking & player draft.

14.2 Social Performance (30%)
- Profile Likes: +1

14.3 Referrals (10%)
- Invite New Player: +5

14.4 Final OPP Formula
OPP = (Game × 0.60) + (Social × 0.30) + (Referrals × 0.10)
